Over winter break 2020-21, Daily Orange writer Richard Chang pitched a story to me about the unique experiences some Asian American students had in their paths to attending Syracuse University. In addition to writing the piece, Richard wanted to photograph it himself too, therefore as Photo Editor at the time, I taught him photographic principals and helped him brainstorm ideas for portraits. Additionally, after he photographed each person in his story, I edit and sequenced his photographs.
