The Daily Orange worked with David Haas, a local historian who tells stories of Syracuse's past, to determine "hidden gems" in the city that students should visit but often overlook. I organized a team of photographers to document each place and then worked with each photographer to edit their selection down to one or two images that really represented the essence of the piece. After the article was published, David responded to the piece saying, "You connected with so many folks in the story and actually got boots on the ground to take pictures. Your team could have easily just googled info and took old photos, but you did it the right way."
