To create this video for Instagram Reels and TikTok, I researched Botticelli's portrait of Simonetta Vespucci. Using Adobe Premiere Pro, I created a video that visually showed the story I told through the caption and audio, which I also wrote and recorded.
I wrote the caption for this social cut that the video team made. Additionally, I have been practicing community management by responding to comments on this post and interacting with viewers when they engage with this video.
Our social team partnered with Katy Hessel, author of "The Story of Art Without Men," to create an audio guide highlighting some of the women artists in our collection for Women's History Month. From the many audio pieces she recorded, I chose a few which had exceptionally engaging stories and interesting visuals to create into social posts. I created this video in Adobe Premiere Pro and wrote the caption for it, as well.
I worked with curator Furio Rinaldi to execute an "Ask Me Anything" campaign on social media, where our audience could ask Furio questions about the exhibit he curated, "Botticelli Drawings." We received lots of engagement over Instagram and Facebook especially, and turned these questions into individual social posts. The campaign was so successful, the social team is now planning for "Ask Me Anything" campaigns for every exhibition going forward.

This behind-the-scenes video which I filmed gave our online audience an insider look into the outfit worn in one of the performance installations for Lee Mingwei's "Rituals of Care." After recording video from the singers' practice, I edited the visuals and audio in Adobe Premiere Pro.
In preparation for the opening of "Japanese Prints in Transition: From the Floating World to the Modern World," the web team created an article highlighting five things to know about the exhibition, and I condensed this article into a social media post. I wrote a quippy caption that grabs the attention of our online audience and convinces them to read on and even click the article link.
Before the opening of "Fashioning San Francisco: A Century of Style," I posted this behind-the-scenes look at the installation of the exhibit. Our audience especially loves this type of content because it's something they can't see when they visit the exhibition, and knowing our audience, I decided this would be an excellent image to build excitement for the upcoming exhibition opening.
As "Botticelli Drawings" came to a close, I created this video, with clips filmed by my coworker, to recap the exhibition. I edited the video together in Adobe Premiere Pro, and synced it to a fast-paced audio that was trending and would be perfecting for capturing our TikTok audience's attention.
In 2024, I began my role as a social media coordinator for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, which comprises of the de Young and the Legion of Honor. I, along with one coworker, manage the social media accounts for the museums and created content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and LinkedIn. My role primarily consists of coming up with ideas for engaging posts, writing copy in the museums' voice and creating bite-sized videos that bring the stories of the museums to a digital audience.
