Over the course of my three years working as an editor at The Daily Orange, I used my knowledge of design to create a variety of layouts, photo illustrations and graphics for the publication. As a design editor, my primary task was designing unique and eye-catching layouts for the News, Culture and Sports sections of the newspaper using Adobe InDesign. When I pivoted from design to photo and became The Daily Orange's photo editor, I allowed my keen visual eye to guide me in the creation of photo illustrations and graphics. For each design I created, I paid attention to mood and tone of the article and matched the font, color and layout accordingly.
